Shake Stew

Vienna bassist Lukas Kranzelbinder’s Austrian septet promises a fantastic sound show. As the youngest musician in the history of the renowned Saalfelden jazz festival so far to be invited to play the opening concert in 2016 with his band Shake Stew, he impressed both the audience and critics equally. The musician in his late twenties writes magnificent pieces that superbly showcase the enthralling instrumentation with three brass instruments and two basses and drummers. In its unusual line-up, Shake Stew brings together seven unconventional musicians, all ground-breaking characters on the young European jazz scene, which combines the pursuit for possible new sounds with concepts beyond the limitations of genres.
