Inspired by the Japanese tea ceremony, the multimedia dance installation »MatchAtria« invites the public to a unique and intimate encounter of the heart. A pulsating universe of dance, video and soundscapes. In cooperation with the internationally renowned visual artist and film director Yoshimasa Ishibashi, Yui Kawaguchi designs a heart ceremony, which welcomes her visitors in the truest sense of the word »open-heartedly«.
Kawaguchi’s body encounters 3D video projections, linguistic landscapes and soundscapes. To create a direct physical connection between her and the public, she will also be using the »Heartbeat Units« especially developed for this purpose. A fascinating instrument, which sends her heartbeats live into the hands of every single member of the audience. Seeing, listening and feeling, attendees experience a pulsating experience, even in their own bodies.
