Guided tour through critical zones
Field trip to the nature reserve of Lake Knielingen
Water birds, frogs, dragonflies, reeds and pond roses: the nature reserve of Lake Knielingen is a place of multispecies worlding.
The reflection of nearby industrial infrastructures in the water points to the turbulent history of numerous human interventions that mark the Lake Knielingen as a critical zone. Together with the NABU Karlsruhe, we explore the habitat of the floodplain forest, trace the life processes that shape it and ask how we can care for and preserve this fragile place.
