To the question »and how many patients watched you?«, he answers, »One crazy, mentally disturbed nation«. What made the Germans, or more precisely, the West Germans, a mentally disturbed nation back then?
 
A film about light-hearted and serious games, measures for re-education and education of self, and the history of ideas of a constant revolution. The characters include: Directors and producers of game shows, psychiatrists, anthropologists and paranoiacs of all persuasions.
