The current fellows and the project manager Sabine Faller invite you to the media lounge for the five-year anniversary of the Masterclass. In addition to highlights from past exhibitions, works of art from the various workshops will be shown, and personal insights as well as background stories will be shared by the present (former) students of the Masterclass: between Abitur, media art and fresh ideas.

»Masterclass at the ZKM« - What is it all about? Five to six applicants with a recognizable enthusiasm for art, new media and the ZKM are selected by a jury of experts for the one-year scholarship. In the »Masterclass«, participants will have the opportunity to get to know current art trends and the ZKM programme, as well as the chance to create their own artwork and display it in a public exhibition. The exchange with like-minded people and professional artists is a unique opportunity to explore and develop oneself and one's work in an artistic environment. The scholarship is sponsored by the Fördergesellschaft ZKM / HfG e.V. and the Gunter Schroff Foundation.

The new Masterclass #5 exhibition will open on the 26th of July and can be seen on the ZKM Museum Balcony until the 8th of September 2019. Students aged 15-19 with an interest in media art can apply for the 2019/20 programme.
