IMA | lab No. 28: Gilles Gobeil

Since 1985, Canadian composer Gilles Gobeil has been working on producing works in the area of Acousmatic Music and Mixed Music. Many of his compositions are based on the so-called »cinéma pour l’oreille« [Cinema for the Ears], others are inspired by literary works that are visualized through the medium of sound. As part of the interview between Gilles Gobeil and Ludger Brümmer (Head of the ZKM | Institute for Music and Acoustics) the composer’s way of working was examined in more detail.
