Bettina Korintenberg
Biography
Bettina Korintenberg is a cultural studies scholar whose work focuses on the areas where art, architecture, and literature intersect. Her curatorial and academic practice centers on critically questioning and reflecting on paradigms of modernity against the backdrop of contemporary social and ecological transformations. She is currently a curator at the ZKM | Center for Art and Media, Karlsruhe, where she is involved in various exhibition projects, including »Digital Imaginaries – Africas in Production« and »Critical Zones – Politics of Life Forms«.
She holds a PhD from the Albert Ludwig University of Freiburg (2012–2016) for her dissertation on the museum as heterotopy in a postcolonial perspective, which she developed as part of the German Research Foundation (DFG) Research Group »Factual and Fictional Narration«. From 2010–2012 she worked at the Vitra Design Museum, Weil am Rhein, where she co-curated the exhibitions »Pop Art Design« and »Erwin Wurm: Home«.
