Olga Timurgalieva

Biography

Olga Timurgalieva has graduated from the joint master program Media Arts Cultures (Danube University Krems, Aalborg University, Lodz University), with Erasmus Mundus scholarship (2016–2018). Additionally, she holds a master degree in Cultural Studies at the Higher School of Economics (Moscow). Timurgalieva gained practical experience at such art institutions as the Moscow Museum of Modern Art and V-A-C Foundation (Moscow), the Center for Art and Media in Karlsruhe (ZKM).

Her research interests are biotechnological art, posthumanism, new materialism. Timurgalieva presented her research at Women Against Domination and Oppression Conference (Lodz, 2017), the 10th Beyond Humanism Conference (Wroclaw, 2018), Interdisciplinary Conference Taboo-Transgression-Transcendence in Art&Science (Mexico, 2018), The Critical Zone Conference (Hamburg, 2019).
