- Description
- Stylized dandelion blossoms, so-called blowballs, can be seen gently moving on a monitor or wall projection. Exhibition visitors are invited to blow into the microphone. The sound of their breath is translated into a digital simulation of a breeze, and the dandelion seeds fly away. "Les Pissenlits" is an early and important example in the history of digital art of intuitive human-machine interfaces and digital simulation of natural phenomena. It is a work that connects digital technology with a feature of life that has not only a biological, but in many cultures also a spiritual meaning: with the breath.
