For the tenth time, the [MASTERCLASS] scholarship program at the ZKM is presenting the works of six talented young people from the Karlsruhe metropolitan area who have been supported over the course of a year. In cooperation with professional artists and the ZKM team, Anastasiya Haiku, Vinzent Bela Hermanns, Florenz Kaspar Arnu, Nadja Nawratil, Junias Schlenker and Felix Spogis take the opportunity to try out themselves and their work in an artistic environment and become part of the exhibition worlds of the ZKM.

In addition to the works of [MASTERCLASS] #10, video works by [MASTERCLASS] scholarship holders from the past 10 years can also be seen.

About the [MASTERCLASS] scholarship

The [MASTERCLASS] scholarship enables up to six young people between the ages of 15 and 19 to become intensively acquainted with current art trends and the programme of the ZKM | Karlsruhe. In exchange with like-minded people and professional artists, the young talents learn how to work with new media in workshops lasting several days and receive comprehensive further training in the areas of work conception, video and sound art, live coding and analogue photography.

The aim of the scholarship is to design and present a joint analogue, hybrid or digital exhibition. Artists and curators act as mentors, advising and supporting the scholarship holders.

The [MASTERCLASS] scholarship is funded by the Fördergesellschaft ZKM / HfG e.V. and the Gunther Schroff Foundation.
