Annette Hünnekens

During the founding years of the ZKM Karlsruhe at the beginning of the 1990s, Dr. Annette Hünnekens worked as an employee of the media museum and influenced the arising collection of interactive media art significantly.

In addition to numerous publications, for example in MEDIAGRAMM, the first ZKM magazine, two of the first presentations on the subject of interactive media art and the virtual museum were created in close cooperation with the ZKM and the KHM, Art Academy for Media, Cologne, and the University of Siegen.

In addition to her academic work, she is still active as an author, curator, lecturer and artist in an international context. One of her AI works is part of the largest European DADA collection in Italy.
