inSonic 2020: Syntheses
»inSonic 2020: Syntheses« Brings Together New Musical and Sound Art Approaches from the Interface of Science, Art, and Technology
With a diverse program featuring talks, concerts, and discussions, on Friday, December 11, 2020 the fourth edition of the »inSonic: Syntheses« festival will begin as a livestreamed edition. During the three days of the festival the ZKM is offering a progressive and unique program centered on new technology-based approaches as well as being a platform for international experts from the fields of computer-based music and sound art.
In line with its title, »Syntheses,« this year’s festival presents a variety of interdisciplinary approaches from science and art and links them with each other. »inSonic 2020: Syntheses« creates a platform where artists, composers, scholars, and scientists come together in heterogeneous keynote speeches and interactive discussions. At this symposium, in collaboration with the EASTN-DC (European Art–Science–Technology Network for Digital Creativity) network, the ZKM | Hertz-Lab will present visionary projects, which range from sonic spatialization to the application of new methods from the field of artificial intelligence (AI) in art.
