Technology continues to facilitate the opening up of new dialogues between different geographies and cultures, and dissolve boundaries between states. In this rapidly changing scenario, is it still correct to think about an all pervasive and homogenous internationalism, centred around nations’ capital cities? Should we instead rethink the way we work in terms of an emerging inter-localism, in which specific local cultures and economies across the globe exchange ideas and products between each other, bypassing the functions of traditional metropolitan centres?
