Biography
Ed Sommer worked in the metal processing factory of his father, later also as designer (1948–1965). He is a self-taught artist. Guest student under Max Bense at the Technische Hochschule Stuttgart and Abraham A. Moles at the Hochschule für Gestaltung Ulm (HfG). 1966–1969 German correspondent for the journal »Art International«. Since 1974 married to the artist YongSa. Since 2002 creates mostly literary works. He lives in Schwäbisch Gmünd.
