The film version of the book of the same name by Franz Kafka introduces Josef K, who is arrested one morning. But Josef K does not know the crime of which he is guilty. Desperately, he battles against the overpowering bureaucracy of the legal system without finding out the purpose behind the mysterious court case. Finally, the arbitrariness of public authorities will threaten his life.
