This Event will be held in German.

Every Wednesday at 1.30 pm CEST we invite you to take a short »critical break« before, during or after your lunch break. For 30 minutes we will explore with you live via IGTV (Instagram TV) @zkmkarlsruhe our exhibition »Critical Zones – Observatories for Earthly Politics«.

Today we are dealing with the question: What do »Critical Zones« mean? Experience in conversation Jessica Menger (curatorial assistance) and Mira Hirtz (freelance art mediator).

    More on Critical Break

Every Wednesday at 1.30 pm CEST we invite you to take a short critical break before, during or after your lunch break.

For 30 minutes we explore with you live via Instagram TV @zkmkarlsruhe our exhibition »Critical Zones – Observatories for Earthly Politics« and deal with questions like: How critical is the situation on and for our Earth? And what artistic and scientific approaches are there to define new modes of coexistence of all still existing life forms in order to find together a way into a positive future?

In the first few weeks we will examine terms like »terrestrial« or »holobiont« and see what »Gaia« is all about.

Bruno Latour's exhibition of thoughts always gives new impulses for reflection and discussion. It is constantly growing not only as a digital platform, but also in the physical spaces of the ZKM, the Atria 1+2.

These changes are also repeatedly presented in the context of the »Critical Break«. Together with the »Critical Zones« team, you will take a look at the construction of the exhibition (delayed due to corona virus), which will be physically accessible from July 24, 2020.

Take 30 minutes of your time to find out things that you may not have known yesterday and which give you a new view of the present and the future today.
