Francesca Gallo

Biografie

Francesca Gallo has taught History of contemporary art at Sapienza University of Rome, where she coordinates the master’s degree program in Art History. She has devoted several contributions to Jean-François Lyotard, Les Immatériaux, New Media Art and its exhibition history. Recently she edited Anticolonialismo e postcolonialismo nelle arti visive: prospettive italiane, no. 6 of "From the European South" (2020); Artiste italiane e immagini in movimento. Identità, sguardi, sperimentazioni (with L. Conte, 2021). In 2022 she has co-curated a documentary exhibition on Territories of performance: processes and practices in Italy 1967-1982 (MAXXI) and published the monograph Parole, voci, corpi tra arte concettuale e performance.
