Douglas Kellner ist Professor am George Kneller-Lehrstuhl für Erziehungsphilosophie an der University of California, Los Angeles [UCLA] und Autor vieler Bücher über Gesellschaftstheorie, Politik, Geschichte und Kultur. Unter anderem: »Camera Politica: The Politics and Ideology of Contemporary Hollywood Film«, [mit Michael Ryan]; »Critical Theory, Marxism, and Modernity«; »Jean Baudrillard: From Marxism to Postmodernism and Beyond«; »Postmodern Theory: Critical Interrogations« [mit Steven Best]; »Television and the Crisis of Democracy« und »The Postmodern Turn« [mit Steven Best].
