Both in public spaces and in our homes, we release information partly consciously, partly unconsciously. Intelligent devices record and analyze our data. In doing so, they interfere with our freedom of action. Hacking, deception, misdirection and manipulation are designed to deceive and aim to take unauthorized or illicit actions. In the workshop, these mechanisms will be used as performance tools.
Together we will create objects or design performative actions to trick recognition systems. In »what if«-situations we will interactively manipulate the monitoring functions of smart devices. In active and self-designed interventions, which can be both analog and digital, the monitoring mechanisms will be outwitted and misled.
The workshop is part of the research project »digilog@bw«. Based on current topics around the digital transformation, we develop ideas for co-design and invite you to think and discuss together through events, talks and workshops.
Digital requirements: Stable internet connection, video conferencing capability (camera and microphone).
