Open House Day 2017

On Epiphany 2017, the ZKM invites you to its Open House Day. We would like to celebrate this day together with you with a varied program for young and old – visit our exhibitions, and experience concerts, workshops, guided tours and much more besides.
This year, the thematic focus is upon our exhibition »Art in Europe 1945–1968«. We take a look at the development of art in the post-war period in Europe as a whole – and at the bonding forces that can arise from art and culture in times of political, economic and religious instability!
But there is a lot more to discover at the ZKM on Open House Day: build room models inspired by the exhibition »Frei Otto. Thinking by Modeling«, visit our 3D printing lab, create colourful little creatures and find out more about the oscilloscope, test a new computer game, look behind the scenes of the laboratory for antiquated video systems or discuss social – and European – questions in the Media Theater.
