Biography
Jill Scott's work comprises performances, films, videos and numerous interactive installations. In the 1970's, she experimented with participatory forms of art and observed audience reaction patterns. Her earlier video works explore how the medium can be used for self-presentation and to cinematic effect. Since the 1990's, Jill Scott has been working on major interactive installations which experiment with new forms of cinematic narration with a mixture of documentary appraisal and production. Most of her work circles around a spectrum of the topics: the body - technology - feminism - multiculturalism, and stands for a self-confident and critical discussion.
