It marks the contagious beginning of the corona crisis as the crossing of a boundary between fundamentally different beings. Its bite transforms us, the zoonosis makes us all the same.

In their new piece, the Sebastian Weber Dance Company takes the bat as a model for an unsettling deep drilling. BATS is a bloodthirsty, dark, infectious piece about man as beast in a programmed reality. As a sensual creature between archaic and science fiction, dance and technology, sonar and infrared. Starting from the bat's depth-sensitive orientation in space, a dense choreography develops in a puzzle of real and virtual spaces. Amidst a jungle of cameras and screens, a flow of movements and atmospheres emerges, a constant mutation of perspectives and beliefs: Tap dance with rapid incidence. Algorithmic, elegant, restless!
