During this live discussion in the »bauhaus.film.digitally.expanded« series, Markus Heltschl, Eva Krivanec, Claudia Reiche, Rolf Sachsse and Thomas Tode will talk about »Neues Sehen [New Vision]« at the Bauhaus. The conversation will be moderated by Teresa Retzer.
Neues Sehen, which originated in photography, developed in the 1920s. The new methods of Neues Sehen sought to break up forms of representation that had become ossified in the course of photography's history. In particular, the adherents of Neues Sehen wanted to rethink and renew the conventional approach to composition, light and dark, as well as moving and still pictorial elements in photography. They wanted more vivid and dynamic images that reflected the social and technological progress of the time.
