We, the Net and Security. In his lecture at the ZKM, Prof. Dr. Rainer Neumann explains why the Internet is unsafe and how you can protect yourself when using it.  

How do attackers act? What are certificates? The central aspects of network security will be highlighted in the event. Among other things, the questions are why the network is actually insecure, on what today's security concepts are based and what belongs to trustworthy communication on the Internet.

Topics such as encryption techniques will be presented and explained, what the »Web-of-Trust« is all about.

The lecture is aimed at interested laymen and does not require any previous knowledge.
