This event will be held in German.

Together with our art mediator Mira Hirtz we will be exploring on our YouTube Livestream the physical exhibition space of »Critical Zones. Horizonte einer neuen Erdpolitik«. The first part will focus on the groud floor, whilst the second will deal with the first floor.

The exhibition »Critical Zones. Observatories for Earthly Politics« is dedicated to the so-called »Critical Zone«, a term used in earth sciences to describe the fragile surface of our planet and addresses the critical situation of our Earth. »Critical Zones«  invites us to deal with the critical situation of the Earth in various ways and to explore new modes of coexistence between all forms of life.

Explore the physical exhibition together with art educator, performer and art theorist Mira Hirtz and ask your questions live via our YouTube chat!

Mira Hirtz is a participant in the research seminar »Critical Zones« at the Hochschule für Gestaltung Karlsruhe, where she mainly worked as a dancer and performer. In the seminar she focused on how theoretical and geopolitical considerations can be translated to a local, subjective level of experience through somatic and performative exercises and participatory performances. Tutorials on terrestrial existence were presented, stones were carried through the seminar room, warm-up exercises for body and senses were held and diagrams were choreographed.
